That's it for clean-ups in 2023. The final clean-up of Ard Fraoigh was carried out today to take us into the winter proper, although with the weather lately we have been in winter for some time now :-(
Over twelve households turned out to help, despite the unsettled weather which luckily stayed dry for the duration of the clean-up. We swept up all the leaves from the footpath in front of the apartments on the main Clybaun Road, the entrance to Ard Fraoigh, and the second cul-de-sac.
We filled three one-tonne bags and five large wheelbarrow loads with what we swept up. The place looks much tidier now, and the footpath in front of the apartments on the Clybaun Road is no longer slippery underfoot.
Once again, a big thank you to everyone who turned out and contributed their time and effort to this initiative.
After many postponements we finally conducted an 'end of summer' mini clean-up of Ard Fraoigh. We were lucky to get great weather and ten plus households turned up to support the effort. The primary objective was to prune back the entrance to Ard Fraoigh and it is now looking very neat and tidy. Brian Forde also put in a huge effort to spread weed killer on all the kerbs in Ard Fraoigh.
Thanks to all who showed up and supported the efforts.
The 2023 AGM of the Ard Fraoigh Residents Association was held on Wednesday 10th May 2023 in the Clybaun Hotel. The minutes of the AGM can be viewed by clicking here .
We got 2023 underway with the first clean-up of the year. As usual, we swept up Ard Fraoigh to clear away the winter and did a litter pickup to spruce up the place for the coming summer.
Thanks to all who came out on the day to help keep Ard Fraoigh looking its best.
