Galway Gardaí are inviting all Neighbourhood Watch and Residents' Association groups in Galway City to a community meeting.

Everyone is welcome to attend, listen in, and participate as they wish.
Final Ard Fraoigh Clean-Up Day – Saturday, 8th November
Final Ard Fraoigh Clean-Up Day – Saturday, 8th November
We’re organising our last community clean-up of 2025 on Saturday, 8th November, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Our main goals for the day include:
Sweeping leaves from footpaths at the estate entrance
Pruning overhanging branches along street kerbs to allow Galway City Council’s sweeping machine to reach the verge
Cutting back bushes in two cul-de-sacs (opposite houses 32–36 and 62–68)
To make this a success, we’ll need plenty of volunteers, brushes, and a sturdy A-frame ladder.
We encourage all residents to lend a hand; many hands make light work, and the more we do, the better Ard Fraoigh will look.
We look forward to seeing you there!

The Knocknacarra Community Defibrillator Group provide a community defibrillator for the Knocknacarra area.
It is available 24/7 356 days-a-year in the Clybaun Hotel, Clybaun Road, Knocknacarra (tel: 091 588088).
Defibrillators can also be found at the following Knocanacarra locations, which are open during their normal business hours:
